黄大卫，1957年4月15日出生于山西省山阴县。1982年在南开大学获学士学位，1985年、1989年在中国科学院动物研究所分别获理学硕士和博士学位。现为动物研究所研究员、博士研究生导师。现任中国人民政治协商会议第十届全国委员会委员、中国动物志编辑委员会常务副主任、中国昆虫学会理事长、《昆虫学报》主编、亚洲太平洋地区昆虫学联合会主席。曾任动物研究所副所长、常务副所长和所长。曾任中国人民政治协商会议第九届全国委员会委员、中国动物志编辑委员会副主任、中国昆虫学会副理事长、中国科学院第五届学位委员会委员、中国科学院生物多样性委员会委员、中国科学院生物分类区系学科发展专家委员会副主任。1991、1995年分别获中国科学院青年科学家奖二等奖和一等奖； 1993年获政府特殊津贴；1994年获国家自然科学基金委优秀中青年人才专项基金；1996年获国家自然科学基金委杰出青年基金；1997年获中国科学院有突出贡献中青年专家称号。1996年获中国科学院自然科学一等奖一项（参加人）； 1998年获中国科学院自然科学二等奖（第一完成人）一项，三等奖一项（第四完成人）一项。2000年获中国科学院自然科学奖二等奖一项（第三完成人）。2001年获国家自然科学奖一项（第三完成人）。从事生物系统学、昆虫分子生物学、分子系统学、协同进化的研究。发表科研论文150多篇（其中SCI论文50多篇），专著4部。到1997年共培养博士研究生15名。目前主持国家基金委重点项目“基于形态、行为和基因的榕小蜂身份识别与协同进化研究”。主持科技部基础性工作专项重点项目“海南岛及西沙群岛生物资源考察”。主持科技部基础性工作专项重点项目课题“中国动物志的编研”。主持国家自然科学基金重大项目课题“中国动物志的编研”。近期代表性论著见附录一。
