    ——奋进中的生命科学学院

     

      重庆师范大学生命科学学院始建于1956年,为重庆师范大学建校伊始设立的院系之一。学院现有生物学和生态学两个一级学科硕士授权点,学科教学(生物)和农业推广(作物、园艺、植物保护、养殖和食品加工与安全)专业硕士学位授予权。动物学是重庆市“十五”、“十一五”市级重点学科,生态学一级学科是重庆市“十二五”市级重点学科,生物学一级学科是重庆市博士点授权学科中期建设立项单位。学院在生物化学与分子生物学、生态学、植物学、动物学、微生物学、水生生物学6个专业招收全日制学术型硕士研究生,在学科教学(生物)招收全日制专业学位硕士研究生。开办有生物科学(市级特色专业)、生物技术(市级特色专业)、食品质量与安全(教育部“卓越农林人才”培养计划试点专业)三个全日制本科专业。迄今,已培养研究生和全日制本、专科生近8000人。

      历经半个多世纪的发展和数代生命科学学人的奋发努力,学院软硬件办学条件优良,教育及科学研究事业蓬勃发展。现拥有活性物质生物技术教育部工程研究中心、媒介昆虫重庆市重点实验、动物生物学重庆市重点实验室、植物环境适应分子生物学重庆市重点实验室、重庆高校生物活性物质工程研究中心、重庆高校动物生物学重点实验室、生命科学市级实验教学示范中心、重庆市特色作物资源工程技术研究中心、重庆市院士专家工站等省部级科研教学平台8个,校企联合建设“重庆市食品质量与安全快速检测技术协同创新中心”1个,建有动物科学市级创新团队、植物环境适应分子生物学市级创新团队、动物科学市级教学团队等市级团队等市级教学科研团队3个。拥有重庆市“两江学者”特聘教授岗位,是中国昆虫学会常务理事单位、重庆市昆虫学会挂靠单位。

    学院现有教职员工75人,有外校学缘者占80.36%,45岁以下教师占76%。其中,正高级职称23人、副高级职称27,博士48人,硕士18人。有“新世纪百千万人才工程”国家级人选1人、重庆市“两江学者”1人、重庆市“巴渝学者特聘教授”4人、重庆市学术技术带头人5人、国务院政府特殊津贴获得者4人、重庆市“百人计划”人选1人、重庆市名师1人、重庆市学术技术带头人后备人选3人,重庆市优秀专业技术人才1人、重庆市首批高等学校优秀人才支持计划人选1人,重庆市首批高等学校青年骨干教师资助计划人选2人。有博士生导师6人、硕士生导师27人、校外兼职硕士生导师23人。特聘了包括向仲怀、戚正武和林浩然等院士在内的10位国内外知名学者为客座教授。经过近十年建设,学院逐步形成了一支在职称结构、年龄结构和学缘结构上较为合理,具有较大发展潜力的教学科研队伍,为教育教学和科研水平的提高提供了良好的师资条件。

    今天的生命科学学院正以崭新的面貌朝着多元化、综合性、高水平学院迈进。她将肩负起新的历史重任,进一步发展科学和技术,培养出更多的具有创新精神的高素质人才,为我国社会经济的发展做出新的贡献。

     

    Introduction

    The College of Life Sciences was founded in 1956, presently consistsof three full-time undergraduate majors: Biology, Biotech, and Food Quality andSafety; possesses two first-level disciplines for Master's degree granting inBiology and Ecology, and also offers Master degree for Biology Education andAgriculture Extension for Crop,Horticulture, Plant Protection, Animal Breeding, andFood Quality and Safety. Zoology and Ecology were ratified as key disciplines of ChongqingMunicipal. Up to date, the College cultivated more than 7,000 students including postgraduates,full-time undergraduates and college students.

    Currently, the College of Life Sciences has 71 faculty andstaff members, including 25 professors and 25associate professors. Amongthem, 46 have been conferred a Ph.D degree and 14 have Master degree. There isone candidate for the State “Hundreds of Thousands of Talents” Project, onedistinguished professor of the Par-Eu Scholars Program, four professor wasentitled “ BaYu Scholar” of Chongqing, five leaders of Chongqing Academic and Technology,four professors enjoyed the Special Government Allowancesof the StateCouncil,one candidate for HundredTalentsProgram, three are honored leaders of Chongqing Academic and Technology and OneChongqing Out-standing Professional Technology Talent.  

    The College possesses a Biotech-EngineeringResearch Center for Active Substance of the Ministry of Education, ChongqingKey Laboratory of Animal Biology, Engineering Research Center Bioactive Substancesamong Higher Institutions in Chongqing, Chongqing Key Laboratory

    of Animal Biology, Chongqing Key Laboratory of Plant Molecular Biology ofEnvironmental Adaptation, Chongqing Engineering Research Center for SpecialCrop Resources.Innovation Team of Animal Scienceamong Higher Institutions in Chongqing, Innovation Team of Plant Molecular Biology of Environmental Adaptation, Foodquality and safety is the pilot reform major for the Education Program ofOutstanding Agriculture and Forestry, Teaching Team of Animal Science ofChongqing and the Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Life Sciences. Bioscienceand Biotechnology are two characteristic majors at the provincial level. THECollege possesses the Distinguished Professor position for the Par-Eu Scholar,is the Executive director Unit for the Entomological Society of China and the AttachedUnit for the Entomological Society of Chongqing.

    There are six characteristicsub-disciplines including Special Economic Animaland their Pathogenic Microbiology, Insect taxonomy and molecular biology,Fish Parasitology, ComparativePhysiology, Plant Physiological Ecologyand Active Substance Biochemistry. The College has undertaken dozens ofprojects including NIH, “863” National High Tech Research and DevelopmentProjects, as well as the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Academic achievements have been published inScience, Molecular Ecology, PLoS ONE, Heredity,Oecologia and other renowned international academic journals.  

    The College of Life ofSciences has established academic collaborations and international communicationswith many universities and institutes, such as Yale University, British NaturalHistory Museum, Queen's University and Shinshu University.
